How to participate Participate

Check out the guidelines on how to acquire your accreditation

Register to take part in the CBR's diagnostic imaging accreditation program, providing all the necessary information by filling out a registration form.

A budget will be generated based on the size calculation. Once the contract has been accepted and signed, legal documents will be requested, in accordance with the Padi Regulations. After evaluating the documentation, we begin the process of technically evaluating the exams. If the exams are approved, we will schedule a face-to-face audit for accreditation. Check out the step-by-step process and the criteria for participation below.

PRE AUDIT

Diagnostic Imaging Services interested in joining Padi can contract the pre-audit.

The assessment is independent of the program, but follows the same format as an accreditation audit. Its aim is to provide a diagnosis of the service's current situation in relation to the requirements of the Padi Standard, allowing it to assess current conditions before investing in the accreditation process and prioritizing its work plans.

It can also be hired by clinics and hospitals participating in the program that want to ensure better preparation for the accreditation audit.

METHODOLOGY

Technical Assessment

  • Accreditation begins with the technical evaluation of images and reports by the CBR's medical specialties committees. For continuity in the process, a percentage of 10% failure rate based on the total number of exams sent.

  • If the service does not reach this minimum percentage, it will have a second chance to be evaluated, where new cases related to the failed exams must be submitted.

See the calculation used to define the result of the exam evaluation:

1st Chance:

Sum of failed exams in the submission phase

x 100

Sum of the exams sent at the submission stage

2nd Chance:

Sum of exams failed at the resubmission stage

x 100

Sum of the exams sent at the submission stage

Audits

  • Accreditation can be achieved by carrying out objective and impartial assessments (audits) based on the Padi Standard, by trained professionals specialized in the area.
  • The audits assess all aspects of radiology and diagnostic imaging services, from the physical structure and equipment to the training of professionals and the processes involved in patient care, from scheduling to the delivery of reports, always with a focus on quality and safety.
  • The certificate is valid for 3 yearsIt is granted after the first accreditation audit. Once accreditation has been granted, two more audits are carried out to maintain accreditation.
